For puppies between 12 and 20 weeks old.

Puppy Foundation classes are a weekly training class set over 7 weeks. Puppies start and progress together throughout the 7 weeks. All family members (including children over age of 5) are welcome!

What to expect...

The training programme has been carefully designed to take you through all the obedience basics, giving you a good foundation for life with your new puppy. Class numbers are kept small (6 puppies maximum) so you and your puppy receive individual attention. The classes are full of fun, and only use up-to-date, kind and effective, reward-based methods.

You will receive weekly handouts to help guide you through each training exercise. Email and phone support is available throughout the course. You will receive a graduation certificate and rosette at the end of course.

What will you and your puppy learn?

  • Reliable recall
  • Sit, down and stand
  • Loose lead walking
  • Sit & wait
  • Drop and leave
  • How to stop puppy mouthing
  • Nice manners at meal time
  • Fun and positive experiences with people, children and other dog
  • Nice manners when greeting people
  • Teaching your puppy positive experiences with handling, grooming and safe restraint
  • Building positive experiences with novel items, textures and sounds

Who can join Puppy Foundation Classes?
