You And Your Pet—Behaviour and Training
Experience
- I have been working for myself as a part time behaviourist and dog trainer since
2006. I work on a veterinary referral with owners and their pets with a wide variety
of behavioural and training problems.
- I also work as a qualified Nutritional Advisor and Pet Behaviour Consultant for a
Pet Food supplier, which entails liaising directly with clients, discussing their
pet’s behaviour problems and dietry queries to advise the best course treatment.
My knowledge and experience is also used within the company to write articles for
a variety of pet magazines, radio interviews and supporting the company at local
and national dog shows.
- In continuing to develop my knowledge and experience, I have undertaken a variety
of volunteer work in a number of specialized areas. Gaining experience with the
RSPCA over a number of years, boarding kennels, hydrotherapy centre and working in
veterinary surgeries. I personally found working with animals was extremely rewarding
and has given me opportunity to gain personal experience in animal husbandry and
has given me an holistic view of animal welfare.
